Laura Jones, Assistant Winemaker

Originally from Wyoming, Laura moved to California to attend Pepperdine University. After graduating with a degree in biology, she developed an interest in wine while visiting wine regions throughout the state. Her intersecting interests of science and wine led her to pursue a career in winemaking, starting with harvest internships in Napa and New Zealand. She subsequently enrolled at UC Davis where she received a master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology. She was awarded the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin Fellowship to work in Burgundy at Domaine Armand Rousseau, where she learned traditional winemaking techniques and developed an enthusiasm for Burgundian wines. Laura then returned to the Napa Valley where she served as the enologist at Cliff Lede Vineyards prior to joining the team at Aubert wines.
