2016 Ritchie Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

The Ritchie vines are nearly a half century old, and as a result the wine is consistently powerful and decadent in style.  The rare volcanic soils help retain a level of natural acidity which complements its subtle richness.

Mark Aubert’s Tasting Notes

The 2016 Ritchie Chardonnay pleases with honeysuckle and orchard fruit. Even the palate carries a floral undertone along with chalk dust, clove spice and lemon marmalade. There is an ethereal satiny texture to this wine, no doubt stemming from the 44-year-old vines. Our Ritchie Chardonnay has the credentials and history to cellar confidently for 15+ years. The wine is slightly hazy showing our commitment to minimal intervention winemaking.
